How it Works
Access to Work offers financial support in the form of a grant to help towards the additional employment costs incurred by disabled people in or entering paid employment. It aims to help overcome work related obstacles resulting from their disability. It is available to unemployed, employed and self-employed people in any job whether it’s full-time, part-time, permanent or temporary.
Healthy Workstations have been supplying specialist equipment through the Access to Work Scheme since its inception and throughout the changes to the scheme. We continue to provide an exceptional level of service and support by working closely with the AtoW assessors ensuring a holistic approach. Steps to Success
Step 1: Initial Contact and Assessment
Begin by completing our Access to Work Assessment Form. This allows us to gather your basic measurements and understand the challenges you’re facing in creating a comfortable workspace.
Step 2: Telephone Consultation
Once we receive your form, we’ll arrange a brief telephone consultation to discuss your workplace needs in more detail and address any factors that might affect our recommendations.
Step 3: Receiving Your Quotation
Following our consultation, we’ll send you a Quotation via email. This document outlines our recommended ergonomic solutions and provides a breakdown of the costs, all at our discounted A2W rate.
Step 4:
Reviewing your Recommendations
You can then review our recommendations with your employer or Health & Safety representative to ensure they fit your specific work environment and requirements.
Step 5: Submitting the Quotation to Your A2W Case Manager
After discussions with the necessary parties, submit the quotation to your A2W Case Manager. This step is essential for securing funding approval for the recommended equipment.
Step 6: Ordering Your Equipment
If you decide to proceed with us as your supplier, we’ll prepare your order and coordinate with you to schedule a convenient delivery time.
Step 7: Delivery and Training
Our team will deliver and set up the equipment, offering basic training on its correct and safe use. We’ll also show you how to make necessary adjustments to optimize your comfort.

Ordering your Equipment/Assessment
Have you received Access to Work funding approval, and need product assistance?
In some cases you may have already had a visit from an Assessor and received a report outlining the equipment that you need to enable you to work in comfort, such as a specialist chair, desk or other items.
The report may also include suggestions of where to purchase.
This is just a guide, and you are able to purchase your recommended items from anywhere you choose, but it is important to stay within budget.
